Dear little one,
Today was our second IVF appointment. We were at the Doctor's office in Cincinnati from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. so it was a long day but it was a very productive day. Here's what we did....
First, your dad got checked out to make sure he is all good to go on his end. We will find out the results of that test on Tuesday morning. He hated it and it was hilarious ;)
Second, I went to get an ultrasound where they looked to make sure that my cervix looked good and to see which side my uterus was located on so when they do the embryo transfer they are aiming for the right spot.
After a quick lunch break at first watch, we both had to have our blood drawn to make sure we don't have any diseases that we could easily transfer to you like Hepatitis A, Aids and other fun stuff--Good news-we are in the clear! :) Here's a picture of my very bruised arm from the few blood tests I did this week (AMH-results were great and labs-we are in the clear woo!) #worthit

Once our blood tests were finished, we met with the financial team. Just in case you were wondering IVF is EXPENSIVE, and there is a whole team dedicated to walking you through the financial process of IVF. I felt a lot better once we spoke with her and I will feel even better once it is all paid for and done. We also had to sign a TON of legal documents saying what we plan on doing with all our embabies! (Keeping them of course-we want ALL THE BABIES)
Last but not least we had our Education day. During and IVF education day they pull out a big binder and walk you through every single step of IVF. It was a little overwhelming but equally exciting because of how extremely close we are to finally meeting you. They told us what was going to happen during our cycle, gave us our medication dosages and showed us how to do our injections--that's when it felt really real. Our IVF nurse and Doctor answered all of our questions and told us to give them a call the next time we start our cycle so now we just wait in hope that we get to meet you sooner rather than later. Here's a picture of the binder they used....

It was a long day in preparation for a long process, but the hope of us meeting you grows greater in my heart each day. I would do this 100 times and again if it means I can finally hold you. You are so worth it and already so loved.
XOXO,
Mom and Dad
